KALAHARI SAN (SAVESAN) was approved by the IRS as a 501-C-3 non-profit
organization in October 1993.
This was a follow up of a visit to the Kalahari in 1988, and
the publishing of the book `BUSH FOR THE BUSHMAN'. The
question is are we going to let the Kalahari People Die?

The purpose of the organization is to urgently inform the public of
the dire situation facing the San (to scientists) or Bushmen (to laymen)
or `The Gods Must Be Crazy' people (to movie goers). But
more importantly SAVESAN wants to harness to the cause people to
be interested and aggressively do something about turning around
the environmental destruction of the fragile Kalahari ecosystem.
This is the same environment that
the San (or Bushmen) rely upon for their livelihood.
When we lose the Bushman we lose their
culture too.

It stands for their right to decide their own future and helps them
protect their lives, lands and human rights. Survival is a not-for-profit
organisation, founded in 1969, which receives no funds from any national
government. |
